KNOXVILLE, Tenn., April 5 (UPI) -- A man in Tennessee took a brief pit stop in the middle of running a marathon to enjoy a burrito and a beer before continuing the race.

Trailhead Beer Market in Knoxville shared a photo of the runner enjoying his snack as the bartender handed him a complimentary beer.

"This fine stranger popped in, carrying his own burrito and ordered a beer," they wrote. "Of course under the circumstances Joe comped it, he chugged it and disappeared down Island Home Avenue."

WVLT was able to identify the runner as a man named Jared Nelson and other accounts said he had been seen chugging a meal two miles prior and even stopped for a mimosa at one point during the race.

The Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon's results page shows that Nelson completed the marathon in 6 hours and 12 minutes, coming in at 494th place.
