YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio, April 4 (UPI) -- An iconic cow statue that has stood atop an eatery's sign for 40 years was brought down by a windstorm during the weekend.

Young's Jersey Dairy in Yellow Springs, Ohio, shared a pair of photos on its Facebook page showing the sign before and after Saturday's windstorm.

The fiberglass cow is perched atop the sign in the first picture and only a single hoof is remaining in the second photo.

The restaurant said the cow is "recoverable" and repair operations are staring Monday to use "a bit of fiberglass, some paint" and effort to return it to its rightful place of honor.
