DANNEMORA, New Zealand, April 4 (UPI) -- A New Zealand police department released footage of a burglar who attempted to use a child's duvet to disguise himself from security cameras.
The Counties Manukau Police posted a video to Facebook showing the home security camera footage from the March 20 burglary at a home in Dannemora, near Auckland.
The video shows the burglar crawling around on the ground using the child's duvet in an apparent attempt to hide his identity from the CCTV cameras.
The man's disguise proves somewhat ineffective, as he gives the camera a couple of quick glimpses of his face.
Sgt. John Roberts of the Counties Manukau Police Tactical Crime Unit said the man stole valuables including jewelry and cash from the home.
Police did not say whether the man took the blanket or left it in the home.
