BAINBRIDGE, Ga., March 22 (UPI) -- A pair of brothers who received a wrong-number text about a baby being born decided to visit the newborn at a Georgia hospital with some gifts.

Deorick Williams shared screenshots on Facebook of the wrong-number group text that led him and his brother, Dennis, to pay a visit to Bainbridge Hospital to give gifts and take a photo with Mark and Lindsay Lashley's newborn son, Cason Knox.

"We are at the hospital. Having a baby today! She has dilated to between 5-6," the first text message read.

"Congrats lol but I think someone got the wrong number," Dennis Williams texted in response.

Another text soon followed with a picture of the woman -- Mark Lashley's mother -- holding the newborn.

"Well I don't know Y'all but me and the boys will be thru to take picture with the baby," Dennis Williams wrote.

The woman apologized for the mix-up, but Williams said he was amused by the wrong number and wanted to bring some gifts for the baby.

Dennis and Deorick Williams made good on the promise and soon paid a visit to the hospital, where they posed for a photo with the happy couple.

Mark Lashley said his mother thought Dennis Williams' number belonged to his cousin.

"My mom sent a group message and she attached my cousin's cell phone number, but my cousin had changed her number, and that's how the wrong number deal happened," Lashley told TODAY. "She was so excited about us having a baby, she thought she was talking to my cousin."

He said the men were true to their word and brought gifts for Cason.

"They said, we were the guys who got the wrong text and we just wanted to stop by and give a gift to the baby," Lashley said. "They brought diapers and bottles and a pacifier. It was very nice of them."

Lashley's mother thanked the Williams brothers in a Facebook post.

She wrote:

"I accidentally text a message about Mark and Lindsey having a baby to a number I had in my phone for someone else which now belongs to Mr. Dennis Williams and he and his brother came by to visit us and bought the baby a gift!  What a blessing these two guys were to our family.  They were so sweet and kind to do this! You 2 are great guys and thank you for giving to someone you didn't know! Many blessing I pray for you. I think his brother was Derrius Williams. Cason Knox, Lindsey, & Mark Lashley thanks you.  Please share this with anyone you know and hopefully these guys will see.  If we all only had this kind of heart."
