Heflin police officers charged a man with first degree possession of marijuana after he was found with a box containing two pounds of hydro marijuana in a vacuumed sealed bag. The victim was pulled over for several traffic violations when police spotted the box, which the driver claimed was an anniversary gift for his mother.

"Just a few hours ago, Heflin PD's K-9 Officer Turner stopped a vehicle for multiple violations. The car smelled of burned marijuana," they wrote. "A Probable Cause Search was conducted, and Officers located marijuana residue all throughout the vehicle."
The officers then spotted the box, sealed with a bow, which the driver claimed was an anniversary gift for his mother.
Officers discovered two pounds of hydro marijuana inside a vacuum sealed bag and the driver was charged with first degree possession of marijuana, police said.
