SYLMAR, Calif., March 21 (UPI) -- Firefighters in California shared video of a horse being air-lifted to safety by a helicopter after it was found to have fallen into a ravine.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department's public information office tweeted a video of the horse landing safely after being fitted with a harness and lifted out of the ravine it tumbled into Saturday afternoon in Sylmar.

The horse was examined by firefighters and veterinarians with animal control before being released back to its owner.

The rescued horse was soon "up on its feet" and "talking," firefighters tweeted.
