Florida man helps 'turtle youth' get 'off the streets'

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., March 16 (UPI) -- A Florida man who found a turtle wandering in the road carried the amphibian to some nearby water and gave it a pep talk about doing "your little turtle thing."

Gio Garcia posted a video to YouTube showing him carrying the turtle he rescued from the road toward some nearby water.

"We're out here, you know, helping the youth -- helping the turtle youth out here. You know, bringing them from the streets," Garcia says in the video.

He sets the turtle down next to the water with some advice: "Here you go, do your little turtle thing, my g."

Garcia cheers the turtle on as it swims off into the water.

"Saving the turtles from the streets, helping the youth out, that's just what we do," Garcia says.
