Sloth bears fascinated by pink balloon at Netherlands zoo

HILVARENBEEK, Netherlands, March 14 (UPI) -- A visitor to a Netherlands zoo captured video of three bears showing utter fascination when confronted by a bewildering interloper: a pink balloon.

The video, posted to Facebook by Xaviera Simons, shows three sloth bears at the Beekse Bergen Safari Park in Hilvarenbeek gathering around a pink balloon that floated into their enclosure.

The curious bears sniff the balloon and swat at it with their paws in apparent attempt to identify the strange floating object.

The violent examination eventually causes the balloon to pop, an event that seems to only further fascinate the furry trio.
