EL PASO, Texas, March 10 (UPI) -- A Texas longboarder's video that was supposed to showcase his skills went viral for the wrong reason -- he fell off a cliff.

Francisco Bocanegra, a veteran longboarder who has riding down El Paso's Beg Bend Drive for two years, lost control of his board during a recent run and fell over the side of a cliff.

"But then my down wheels ripped up. I don't know why ... and then it bucked me off. And then I went flying off the side of the cliff," Bocanegra told KFOX-TV.

Andrew Holguin, who recorded the run on video and posted it to the Longboard P0rn 2.0 Facebook group, acted fast to make sure his friend was OK -- leaving the video with a literal cliffhanger ending.

"There was just a million things going through my mind of what could have been wrong with him. That's why I got out there when he was rolling. I was out of the car, down there fast," Holguin said.

Bocanegra suffered only minor injuries from his fall.
