MIAMI, March 9 (UPI) -- Five ponies got loose and were spotted running around in a grassy area near the Florida Turnpike on Wednesday morning.
WSVN shared helicopter video of the ponies, that eventually returned to a residential area in South Miramar after briefly stopping traffic on the Turnpike.
NBC 6 reported the ponies were first seen around 8:42 a.m.when police tried to block their path using squad cars lined up along the highway, but the ponies ran off in the opposite direction.
Police briefly herded the ponies around 9 a.m. before they escaped to a residential area where they ran through various backyards.
The ponies were then seen walking through the white fence of their supposed owner's home at around 9:20 a.m.
