Northern lights illuminate night sky over Ireland, Britain

CREGGANBOY, Northern Ireland, March 7 (UPI) -- The Aurora Borealis, or northern lights, made a rare appearance overnight in the skies over Britain and Ireland.

Artist irishmanlost posted a video to his Facebook page showing the view of the northern lights as they appeared over Kinbane Head in Northern Ireland Sunday night.

"What a show," the artist wrote.

The display was reportedly visible as far south as Oxfordshire, England.
