MULEGE, Mexico, March 4 (UPI) -- Conservation officials in Mexico announced an ultra-rare albino gray whale was caught on video off the country's Pacific Coast.

The National Commission of Natural Protected Areas posted a video to Facebook this week showing the albino gray whale swimming in waters near the state of Baja California Sur.

The female gray, dubbed "Gallon of Milk" due to her albino appearance, was first documented in the 2008-2009 season.

The whale was spotted this month with a calf, which appears not to have inherited its mother's albino coloring.
