TERRIGAL, Australia, Feb. 29 (UPI) -- An Australian "Mad Scientist" got himself out of pushing the trash bin to the curb by "hacking" his daughter's go-kart to carry the bin.

Jacob Strickling, the self-proclaimed "Mad Scientist" behind the Make Science Fun YouTube channel, shared a video showing his solution to the problem of his uphill climb to take the trash to the curb.

Strickling took inspiration from his daughter, Mikalah, and made a series of modifications to her go-kart.

The video shows Strickling attach a dolly to the back of the vehicle along with a mechanism allowing Mikalah to control the platform's tilt.

Mikalah is able to use the modified go-kart to take out the trash for her dad.
