LACEY, Wash., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- A Washington state city shared photos of a cuddly baby coyote rescued from a storm drain by a city worker.

Photos shared on the Facebook page City of Lacey, Washington - Government show the coyote pup snuggled up with a city worker who fished the baby out of a city storm drain.

It was unclear how the coyote ended up in the predicament, but he appeared to be uninjured following the rescue.

City officials said the worker found two other pups in the drain and placed them at the tree line of a wooded area after seeing the mother coyote nearby.

Look what we found ... this little coyote pup was in a storm drain off of Britton Parkway!
