AMSTERDAM, N.Y., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- The owners of a New York state farm said a baby bunny whose back legs were paralyzed by a bite from a larger rabbit is mobile again thanks to a mini skateboard.

Jason and Sonja Ambrosino, who raise rabbits on their Overlook Acres farm in Amsterdam, N.Y., said they discovered the baby rabbit freezing and suffering from a bite wound outside of his nest box.

The couple said they soon discovered the bunny's back legs had been paralyzed by a bite from a larger rabbit.

The owners brought the baby bunny into their home and he soon regained mobility when a friend strapped him to a $1 miniature skateboard.

The rabbit has now been dubbed "Wheelz" and the Ambrosinos decided to keep him inside their home as their pet.

The couple said they are now hoping to publish a children's book about Wheelz's life.
