New Zealand cliff slowly disappearing beneath house

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- A New Zealand drone owner captured footage of an abandoned home slowly making its way toward the ocean as the cliff beneath it recedes.

The video shows the house with two large portions hanging over a cliff unsupported after the ground beneath it eroded into the ocean.

Possessions apparently belonging to the previous owner of the abandoned house litter the inside of the building.

"This could be evidence that the sea is rising, or erosion... this abandoned [house] was discovered in Cape Palliser in New Zealand being swallowed up by the ocean," the filmer wrote.
