BRADENTON , Fla., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- A Florida man abandoned his robbery attempt when he walked into a local 7-Eleven and found no one inside the store.

Police in Bradenton received reports of an attempted robbery on Tuesday morning when a masked man entered a 7-Eleven at 5:44 a.m.

The store clerk witnessed the masked men enter the store wielding a handgun but told police he left the store after he looked around and saw that no one was in the store.
