KINGSTON UPON THAMES, England, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- An English police department shared video of officers receiving a little assistance from a member of the public who kicked out his leg to trip up a fleeing suspect.

The Kingston Police said the officers were chasing a man through the town square in Kingston upon Thames during the weekend when they received the unexpected help from a member of the public.

"Thank you for helping them," the department wrote in posting the video to Facebook.

The post did not identify the suspect, an alleged drug dealer.
