Florida police seek store-robbing joker in Batman costume

He isn't the criminal Orlando deserves or the one it needs right now.

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Check out this joker!

Authorities in Florida are searching for a criminal who robbed two Orlando stores while disguised as Gotham City's greatest hero: Batman.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said a man dressed in a Batman mask, a shirt with the hero's logo, jeans and a backpack came into the 123 Dollar Store about 8 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk complied, and the robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Dark Knight impersonator struck again about 90 minutes later, this time at a Dollar General store.

The sheriff's office said the clerks at the stores were not harmed.

Batman Robber

Crime Alert:Attention Gotham City!On Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016 at approximately 8 p.m. the Batman-masked suspect in this video entered the123 Dollar Store located at 1502 N Semoran Boulevard. He demanded money from the clerk and the clerk complied. About 90 minutes later, the Dollar General Store at 911 South Goldenrod Road was robbed by a suspect with a similar description. That clerk was also unharmed.The suspect is described as a White/Hispanic male, thin build, wearing a Batman mask, blue jeans and carrying a backpack.Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
