Car does 40 mph in reverse on busy road

NANJING, China, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- A Chinese motorist captured video of another driver doing nearly 40 mph and passing another car -- all while driving in reverse.

The video was filmed Monday in Nanjing by a motorist who noticed a car ahead of him was traveling at a high speed while facing in the wrong direction.

The backward car even passes another vehicle on the road.

The filmer lowers the camera at one point to show he is traveling 60 kilometers per hour -- nearly 40 mph.

The backward driver is reportedly being fined by police.
