'Canhead' performer's mysterious medical condition makes objects stick to skin

EVERGREEN PARK, Ill., Jan. 20 (UPI) -- An Illinois man said he is making money from his mysterious medical condition by sticking objects to his mysteriously suction-cup-like head.

Jamie Keeton of Evergreen Park, who shows off his strange abilities under the name Canhead Keeton, said he shaved his head for the first time 23 years ago and he then discovered his bizarre condition by accident.

"I was at a ball game. I was trying to cool my head down because it was a hot day. And all of a sudden they hit a home run," Keeton told WLS-TV. "I went up to grab it... I missed it, and then said, 'Where's my drink?' Everybody was laughing... The drink was stuck to the back of my head. The drink was pouring out of it."

Keeton said he soon found all sorts of objects stuck to his bald head, as well as other areas of his body.

The performer said one doctor suggested his abnormally high body temperature -- he is always at 100 degrees -- could be to blame for turning him into a walking suction cup.

"It just sticks to me," Keeton said. "My whole body... They don't really know [why]."

Keeton said he discovered he could make money by showing off his ability -- as well as renting out the coveted space on his head for advertising.

"[I] actually promote people's companies all the time. Different companies just to wear their name on my cans or on a shirt," he said.

Keeton said he has made up to $1,000 in a single day -- and $8,000 in a single weekend -- by renting out his head.

The "Canhead" performer said he visited China last week and was officially recognized by Guinness World Records for sticking eight cans to his head -- a feat Keeton said on Facebook he plans to eventually top.

"I can stick almost anything. Let me try your iPhone. Look, I'm hands free," Keeton told a WLS-TV interviewer.
