BOSTON, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- A Boston man who heard a blood-curdling scream at his workplace discovered the source was sublimating dry ice pressing up against steel.

The video, posted to YouTube by user Mrjhwal, shows the man recreating the events that led to his hearing a terrifying scream at his workplace.

The uploader presses his hand against a cardboard tube, causing dry ice inside to press up against a steel shaft.

The sublimating -- transforming directly from a solid to a gas -- dry ice "complains" when it is pushed up against the steel, the man wrote.
