Suspected burglar takes a tumble through snow-covered school skylight

DELAVAN, Wis., Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Police in Wisconsin are trying to identify a bungling burglar caught on camera falling through a skylight at a middle school.

The Delavan Police Department shared video of the Saturday evening incident, which featured a man on the roof of Phoenix Middle School falling through a snow-covered skylight into a hallway.

The suspect, who appears to have sustained minor injuries from the fall, quickly hobbles away from the scene.

"In this incident every one of our citizens is the victim, as our tax dollars now need to pay for the materials and labor needed to repair the damage this suspect caused," the police department said in a Facebook post that has since been deleted for unknown reasons. "This video is a prime example that crime does not pay, but can hurt as well!"
