COCOA, Fla., Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida said two men celebrated the upcoming superhero film Deadpool by dressing as the titular character and briefly stealing an ATM.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office said two men wearing full-zip hoodies modeled after the super-powered antihero played by Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming film broke the front glass door of a business in Cocoa and loaded an ATM into a 1999 Ford E-250 van.

Deputies said the men were unable to leave the parking lot in the ATM-heavy van, which was later determined to be stolen from a nearby dealership, so they left the vehicle and the cash machine behind.

The men were picked up in a white Chevy Tahoe, the sheriff's office said.
