PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- A Buddhist monk buying lottery tickets at a Philadelphia gas station chased and struggled with a suspect who snatched his wallet containing $350 cash.

Police said the 61-year-old Buddhist monk was purchasing lottery tickets at the Sunoco station Jan. 3 when a man grabbed the monk's wallet out of his hand.

The wallet contained about $350 cash, police said.

The monk chased the suspect into the parking lot, where a struggle ensued.
