DETROIT, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- The Detroit Zoo shared video showing the arrival of a very special post-Christmas FedEx delivery -- 20 gentoo penguins.

The zoo posted video to Facebook of the penguins exploring their new surroundings Tuesday after they arrived at the facility via FedEx.

The Facebook post said the flightless birds "are chilling in special quarantine areas in the Penguinarium."

The post said the gentoo penguins will join king, rockhopper and macaroni penguins in the zoo's new Polk Penguin Conservation Center in 2016.

Gentoo Penguins Fly into Detroit

When penguins fly! Twenty gentoo penguins recently landed at the Detroit Zoo via FedEx and are chilling in special quarantine areas in the Penguinarium. They will join the colony of king, rockhopper, macaroni and gentoo penguins when the Polk Penguin Conservation Center opens in 2016.
