TAURANGA, New Zealand, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- A pair of New Zealand men out on a fishing trip captured footage of a bronze whaler shark repeatedly jumping into the air after being hooked.

Paul Adlington and Elliot Gordon said they were fishing from their boat off the coast of Tauranga on Christmas Eve when the bronze whaler shark ate their bait and became hooked.

In the footage, the shark repeatedly leaps into the air to awed exclamations from the two fishermen.

Gordon said the shark was on the line for about 30 minutes.
