CORONA, Calif., Dec. 28 (UPI) -- A California couple captured video of a state department of transportation sign reprogrammed by vandals with a pro-Donald Trump message.

Nikki Worden of Corona said in a Facebook post she and her husband, Dan, were driving home from the movies Christmas night when the electronic marquee sign on northbound 15 Freeway in Corona caught their eyes.

"Inland Empire supports Donald Trump. Merry Xmas. Vote Donald Trump," the sign in the video reads. The couple said they turned around for a second look at the sign and captured the video.

A Caltrans representative said the sign was apparently reprogrammed by vandals. The sign had returned to its original traffic message as of Sunday.
