NEW YORK, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- A New York City train conductor did a different kind of conducting on Friday when he conducted the Yale Glee Club in a song.

The conductor, Bob McDonough, posted the now viral video to Facebook on Monday showing him conducting the Ivy League Glee Club in a performance of "Carol of the Bells".

McDonough noticed the club earlier in the day but decided to apply a secondary element to his role as conductor that night.

"I told them I was a conductor, so I must conduct...and somehow they bought it. Did I mention they go to YALE?" he wrote in the post.

Two of the students captured video of the event and sent it in to McDonough. The post has accumulated over 100 likes and 14,000 shares.
