RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- A Brazilian dog owner shared a video showing how he uses reverse psychology to trick his stubborn dachshund into taking her medicine.

Fellipe Vilaca Chibante says in the video he posted to YouTube that dogs often "like to defy" their owners when it comes to taking medication, and his dachshund, Honey, is no exception.

Chibante demonstrates how he uses reverse psychology on Honey by telling her that she can't have the medicine and he repeatedly holds the pill up to his own mouth.

A Portugese-speaking Redditor said Chibante tells the dog the pill is "good as hell" while refusing to let her have it.

Chibante eventually drops the pill, saying "Oops" as if it were an accident, and Honey quickly gobbles it down.
