GUIYANG, China, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Firefighters in China's Guizhou Province used a crane to hoist a nearly 900-pound pregnant cow to safety after it fell into a manhole.
Footage of the rescue, which took place last week in Danzhai County, shows firefighters fitting a harness to a nearly 900-pound cow trapped at the bottom of a hole.
The firefighters use a crane to hoist the pregnant bovine out of the pit.
Reports indicate the cow was exhausted following her ordeal and needed to rest on the ground for a time before being returned to her owner.
