NEW YORK, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- A New York man with over 20 transit related arrests under his belt was taken into police custody after attempting to steal a Greyhound bus.

The 50 year-old, Darius McCollum, hijacked a Greyhound bus headed for Virginia and was tracked down by police using GPS when the bus never arrived.

McCollum drove the bus to Philadelphia before being pulled over by police and producing a fake law enforcement badge.

He now faces charges of grand larceny and criminal impersonation of an officer, among others.

Upon his arrest, McCollum stated that he will next try to add an airplane to his long list of transportation threats.

McCollum reportedly memorized New York's subway system at the age of 8, and through his numerous transit related arrests has been tentatively diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.

There were no passengers on the bus when McCollum was apprehended by police and he has remained nonviolent throughout his more than decade-long string of transportation thefts.

Some of Mccollum's past arrests include three other bus thefts in 2010 and 2013 and two attempts to steal trains.

McCollum has faced up to 15 years of jail time for his multiple high jinks, but was allowed to remain free after agreeing to behavioral therapy.
