Kangaroo takes a dip in Australian family's swimming pool

ELTHAM NORTH, Australia, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- A kangaroo was caught on camera keeping kanga-cool with a dip in an Australian family' backyard swimming pool.

Amy Garroway captured video of the kangaroo hopping around her family's backyard pool in Eltham North, outside Melbourne in Victoria, before taking a jump directly into the water.

The kangaroo, whose swim was closely observed by the family's dog, appeared to have difficulty getting out of the water.

Garroway said it took four people about 45 minutes to get the kangaroo back on dry land.

The exhausted 'roo spent another three hours in Garroway's yard recovering from its exhausting swim.
