TACOMA, Wash., Oct. 28 (UPI) -- A man's festive attempt to cheat a Washington state carpool lane with a zombie baby doll earned him a $136 fine and Twitter fame for the doll.
Trooper Guy Gill, public information officer for the Washington State Patrol District 1, tweeted a picture Tuesday of the zombie baby doll strapped into the front seat of a man's car near Tacoma.
"A trooper stopped this #HOV lane violator this morning near #Tacoma...At least he's in the [Halloween] spirit. #TrickOrTicket," Gill tweeted.
Gill said the man was issued a $136 ticket for violating the high-occupancy vehicle lane rules.
"We gave him a break for not having a car seat," Gill tweeted.
