HAZLET TOWNSHIP, N.J., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- A New Jersey police department has a suggestion for the owner of a 50-pound marijuana package mistakenly delivered to a resident: Come and claim it.

The Hazlet Township Police Department said in a Facebook post a resident called police Tuesday to report several boxes had been delivered to their home and were addressed to an unfamiliar name.

Police said they opened the packages in search of a packing list and discovered the boxes contained a total 50 pounds of marijuana.

"If you were expecting these packages and would like to claim them, please come to Police Headquarters," the post said. "In the meantime our detectives will be working with County, State, and Federal Law Enforcement agencies to locate the owner of this property."
