NIS, Serbia, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- An animal charity shared video of 450 dogs at a cage-free sanctuary in Serbia running free and playing with each other and human volunteers.

The video, posted to YouTube by animal charity Harmony Fund, features 450 canines playing in wide open spaces, rolling in the mud and enjoying a cool drink alongside their fellow dogs and sanctuary founder Sasa Pejcic.

The Harmony Fund said the dogs were all formerly among the country's thousands of homeless canines.

"They fended for themselves on the streets or in neglectful homes and so many of them arrived with broken bones and broken hearts. But HEALING takes place here. The dogs soon learn that they are loved and cared for," the charity said on its website.

The charity said it costs $15 per month to feed each dog, but only about 88 of the animals have sponsors.

"We can't reduce the dogs' food intake for lack of donations and we certainly can't pick and choose which dogs eat. With winter coming, we hope to stockpile some food. This is one charitable investment that will bring you nothing but happiness," Harmony Fund wrote in the video's description.
