ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- A woman gave birth at 30,000 feet on a flight between Taiwan and Los Angeles, a report said.
The Taiwanese woman was 32-weeks pregnant when her water broke aboard a China Airlines flight last week. Fortunately, a doctor was also on the flight.
Video taken by other passengers shows flight attendants assisting by holding up blankets. Passengers applauded as one of the flight attendants announces it's a baby girl.
The doctor who delivered the baby was returning from her honeymoon.
"The flight crew was very helpful bringing me any medical equipment, helping me out with the patient. They were basically like my stand-in nurses," Angelica Zen said.
Because the baby was born in U.S. airspace, but aboard a Chinese plane, the girl's nationality will be determined by the hospital.
