Shaunt Ghazeri told KTLA that he and Tina Mirzakhaniann were deep in conversation when they "took a wrong turn somewhere." Advertisement Ghazeri used his cell phone to call the Altadena Sheriff's station but was surprised when authorities, who were training rescue crews, sent a helicopter to airlift the couple to safety. Both Ghazeri and Mirzakhaniann told KTLA that they would attempt a second date. "Hopefully," Ghazeri said. "I love adventure stuff like that and I never thought I would have been in a helicopter," Mirzakhaniann said. The sheriff's department told Pasadena Star-News that the couple were lucky to have cell phone reception in the forest.
