OMAHA, July 8 (UPI) -- A family visiting an Omaha zoo received an unwelcome gift from a Siberian tiger who decided to mark the humans as part of her territory.

Skip DeBusk, who posted video of the incident to YouTube, said his wife and two young children were visiting the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha last week when they decided to get in close to the Siberian tiger cage.

"Usually the tigers and lions are napping when we visit, but this Siberian tiger named Nika was active," DeBusk said. "So, this is why my wife decided to start recording the tiger. She got our kids up as close as possible so they could see. Well, Nika decided to mark her territory and well, my wife and kids were in the wrong place at the right time."

DeBusk said the tiger's spray soaked his family and got into his 4-year-old daughter's eyes, but she was not injured.

"Everyone got a really good bath last night," DeBusk told the Omaha World-Herald.
