MELBOURNE, May 19 (UPI) -- An Australian comedian recording his flatulence said he accidentally farted a "major seventh arpeggio in he key of b flat," which he dubbed his "rectum opus."

Lawrence "Loz" Nannigans, a member of the comedy/music group Shonky Brothers, said in a Reddit post he was recording farts to send to his brother when he noticed the "major seventh arpeggio in the key of b flat, with a trill at the end" emerge from his backside.

"My brother moved away from town, and I was missing him. So I started texting him farts to let him know I love him. This would have been in the first dozen or so, but the second it came out I knew it was special," he wrote.

Nannigans, who posted the slowed-down version of his fart to YouTube with a flute version of the same music for comparison, dubbed the recording "my Magnum Anus" and "rectum opus."

"I fear my best work is now behind me," he wrote in the video's text.
