"I've never seen anything like that in my life -- not in 20 years of driving," Russell Clark, a witness who was commuting Thursday when the horses ran past his vehicle, told The Telegraph. "The horses were really running at full speed. They were scared and not stopping for anything. To be honest, they were beautiful and apart from the obvious danger to them, it was an amazing site."
Police said the horses were eventually corralled and returned to their field.
"There were no reports of any injuries or collisions as a result of the incident," police said.
