The apparent rebel sympathizers with Wired's Battle Damage crew assembled the $800 Star Wars kit from 3,152 pieces and used a slow-motion camera to record the nearly 8-pound Star Destroyer falling to the ground and shattering. The video shows off the intricacy of the model by having the individual pieces scatter in the "explosion" and reform from the pile of CGI pieces.
