NAPLES, Fla., April 7 (UPI) -- Florida police have arrested a man who kept a seven-inch baby alligator in his son's bedroom.
Kevin Gill, of Naples, Fla., said police were searching his home on a warrant when they found the reptile.
"I didn't think it was a big deal because there's millions of them and they said they took them off the endangered species list," Gill told NBC2.
Gill said he found the baby in the wild and was trying to nurse it back to health.
It's illegal to keep an alligator in Florida without extensive training and a license. Gill is now facing felony charges.
