JOSEPH, Mich., April 2 (UPI) -- A Michigan filmmaker shot a video showing how a photographer made the most of winter by playing "Iceberg Golf" on Lake Michigan. Josh Nowicki, a photographer, said a joking comment about playing a round of golf on the ice of Lake Michigan led to the video, shot by filmmaker Seth Haley, of Nowicki using a paddle board to move between the lake's icy patches and shoot a round of golf. "Looking at the shapes of the ice on the lake reminded me of a green on a golf course and I semi-jokingly said that I would like to play golf out there. After some discussion we decided that it was quite possible and I went out to give it a try." Haley shared the video on Facebook. "This is how Michiganders do it until the golf courses open," he wrote in the post.
