Richard Wilson's installation, titled "Hang On a Minute Lads, I've Got a Great Idea," based on the last line of the Michael Caine-starring heist film, is an homage to the bus teetering on the edge of a mountain in the final shot of the movie. Hotel officials said they teamed with the Royal Academy of Arts to bring the sculpture to its seventh-floor sun terrace. The sculpture, which was originally perched on the roof of the De La Warr Pavilion, in Bexhill, England, as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, was installed at the Peninsula Hotel March 12 and is scheduled to remain through April 8. "The ultimate goal is to make something of structural daring, a spectacle teetering on the edge of being and not being, and between stability and collapse," Wilson said in a video created by the Peninsula Hotel. "It speaks of the limits one wanted to go as an artist, how daring one is willing to be in terms of sculptural ideas."
