Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe AUSTIN, Texas, March 20 (UPI) -- A visitor to the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, captured video of a handcuffed man climbing to his feet for a short-lived escape from police. Twitter user @JrTorres0510 said the man was on the ground and handcuffed Wednesday after a fight in front of the Blind Pig Pub, but he climbed to his feet and made a break for freedom while officers were busy using a stun gun to subdue another participant in the fracas. Advertisement The video shows the man fleeing from police and attempting to get away, but pictures taken soon after showed the man back in police custody. Austin police confirmed the man was caught and said he was charged with evading arrest, while the man shot with the Taser was charged with resisting arrest and interference with public duties. A third man was charged with disorderly conduct.
