WASHINGTON, March 19 (UPI) -- A C-SPAN caller claiming to have an opinion on Congress' role in Iran negotiations instead paraphrased the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The man, who gave his name as Jack Strickland, called in Tuesday during the Washington Journal show to share an opinion about how much influence Congress should have in negotiations with Iran.

"I just want to make it clear, first of all, I am calling from Bel Air, California, but I'm originally from Philadelphia -- specifically West Philadelphia," the caller said.

The man said he was recently discussing the Iran issue with a friend on a basketball court when "a couple of guys who were up to no good essentially started causing trouble in my neighborhood."

"I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said, 'You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air,'" the man said, reciting the theme song sung by show star Will Smith.

C-SPAN cut the caller off, apparently recognizing the prank, and the host cracked a smile while carrying on discussion of the issue.

A YouTube account under the name "Jack Strickland" posted a video of the C-SPAN prank and also hosts several other videos of C-SPAN call-in pranks allegedly perpetrated by Strickland.
