Sperm whale rams fishing boat in Chile

The whale rammed the boat and circled it repeatedly for about two minutes before swimming away.

LEBU, Chile, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- A man fishing off the coast of Chile recorded the moment a sperm whale rammed his boat and circled the vessel several times.

The video, posted to YouTube by user Catalina Sandoval, shows the whale approach the small boat off the coast of Lebu and the men aboard the vessel can be heard shouting as they realize the aquatic mammal is about to ram them.

The boat rocks, but is not overturned by the impact. The whale circles the boat for about two minutes, causing it to sway back and forth, before swimming away.
