HARLAN, Ky., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Elsa, the icy heiress to the Arendelle throne, is wanted in Harlan, Ky., where police officers are fed up with wintry weather.

"All points bulletin!!! HPD has issued an arrest warrant for Queen Elsa of Arendelle," the Harlan City Police Department wrote Wednesday on Facebook. "Suspect is a blonde female last seen wearing a long blue dress and is known to burst into song 'Let it Go!' As you can see by the weather she is very dangerous. Do not attempt to apprehend her alone."

Elsa, of Disney's 2013 megahit, Frozen, retreats to a snowy mountaintop when she loses control of her icy powers and accidentally sends the kingdom of Arendelle into perpetual winter.

The light-hearted post was shared more than 10,000 times on Facebook, with commenters calling on authorities to watch out for Elsa all over the country.

"She was spotted in Grantsville Md.!! Bringing wind and snow and 20-30° below zero! Send her to Florida!" wrote one commenter.

Kentucky, like much of the eastern United States, has been hit by frigid temperatures and above-average snowfall in the last week.

Harlan police clarified later that they were just trying to inject some good humor into news about the cold snap, but also warned residents to be wary of icy conditions.

"We had to have a little fun after this week's weather," officers said in another post. "But as a reminder, do take the precautions you need to keep you, your friends, family, neighbors and pets safe during the snow queen's mad spell."
