And it can all be yours for a mere $300,000 a month, the New York Post reported Thursday.
Located at at 20 E. 76th St. in Manhattan's Upper East Side, the apartment is between 5th and Madison avenues and Central Park, and is in the immediate vicinity of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. And speaking of art, the unit comes furnished with original works from Ann Hamilton, Jonathan Borofsky, Nathalia Edenmont and Mel Bochner.
The apartment is being leased by Sotheby's International Realty.
"Passing through a stunning brass and copper door preserved from the original Surrey hotel, penthouse suite guests will experience the feeling of entering a sophisticated private residence," the Surrey Hotel said, in describing the penthouse.
In addition to the 1,200 square feet of living space, the penthouse apartment also includes another 1,100 square feet of outdoor terrace with spectacular views of the city.

Crunching the numbers, at $300,000 per month, the posh living space would cost you roughly $10,000 per day and $3.6 million every calendar year. That's a cost of $416.66 every hour or $6.94 every minute.
For a little perspective, imagine spending roughly $7 every single minute of your day. To say that would add up quick is an understatement.
How about the cost of the apartment's dimensions?
At 1,200 square feet inside the penthouse, that amounts to $250 per square foot, per month -- or roughly $8.33 per square foot, every day.
The Surrey Hotel is likely the most expensive apartment currently available in New York City, but there are others priced more moderately if that's a bit out of your range.
In fact, other nearby units cut that price in half. The Post said there are three one-bedroom units in the area going for only $150,000 per month, and another for $120,000.
